About the Author
Forrest Carr observed his 20th year in the news business in January 2000. He joined KGUN9-TV, the ABC affiliate in Tucson, Arizona, as news director in September of 1997. During his tenure KGUN9 has made waves locally and nationally with its innovations in viewer service and community-responsive journalism. KGUN9 solicited viewer input for a statement of principles, the only television station in the United States ever to have done that, and it appointed one of only three viewer ombudsmen in the country. Carr began his career as a radio reporter but quickly switched to television, serving at various times as a copy writer, reporter, newscast producer, managing editor, and assistant news director in the Memphis, San Antonio and Tampa markets before going to Tucson as news director. Carr has contributed to numerous scholarly and trade publications, and has won or shared credit in four dozen professional awards, including a regional Emmy for investigative reporting. He is a graduate of the University of Memphis.

Dr. Suzanne Huffman is Associate Professor of Journalism and Broadcast Journalism Sequence Head At Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Her B.A. is from Texas Christian University. She earned her M.A. at the University of Iowa, and her Ph.D. at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Huffman has reported, anchored, and produced news at commercial television stations in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Santa Maria, California, and Tampa, Florida. She taught at three other universities before joining the TCU faculty, and her former students occupy newsroom positions at stations throughout the South and Southwest. Her research centers on the practice of broadcast journalism. It includes television station and newsroom workplace issues, such as the current proliferation of live reporting, the use of mission statements, coverage of women's sports, the history of broadcast journalism in Texas, and broadcast news writing practices and style. Her research has been presented at both regional and national symposia and has been published in numerous scholarly journals.

Dr. C. A. Tuggle began teaching on the university level in 1994 after a 16-year broadcasting career in local television news and media relations. He spent the majority of his career at WFLA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Tampa. He has held numerous newsroom positions, but spent the bulk of his career reporting and producing. He covered both news and sports, including six Super Bowls. Tuggle earned his undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of Florida in Gainesville, and his Ph.D. at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He is currently teaching electronic communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research has appeared in nearly a dozen scholarly journals and trade publications, and centers on television news practices and procedures. He regularly conducts writing workshops for local stations, professional and academic groups, and high school journalists. He has overseen student newscasts at three universities and helped develop more than 50 interns during his professional career.

While creating this book, my intent was to reach beyond current origami enthusiasts to a wider range of readers.�I paid more attention to the things that more experienced modular folders may gloss over, in order to bring clarity to the process for beginners.�My hope is that it will become a door to modular origami for those who have not yet tried it and introduce the art of making kusudamas as a wonderful new hobby to many readers. Beautiful, Unique Models

What I like about this book is the range of kusudama types. There are geometric and floral in a single book, whereas typically, origami books are about one or the other.

One of the things that sets this apart from several of the modular origami books I've purchased recently by newer authors is that the diagrams are as thoughtful as the models themselves. The illustrations are simple and clear, even for the more complex constructions. (There is nearly nothing more frustrating than getting halfway through a module only to find that the instructions stop making sense.)

I also like that while there are models in here that would be easy for beginner folders to understand, she has models that would challenge more nimble folders.

As a folder, the best part about this book to me is that a few of the models evolve off of a single module idea, showing the versatility of a single concept and how it can transform. This concept keeps me curious and trying new methods of construction, and in this way, it is mentally challenging beyond what's on the pages.

I am a huge fan of this book. In the short time I have had it I have made 5 different models from it. The instructions are clear. The difficultly ratings for each model are spot on. The photos are inspirational. My friends and family are really impressed with all the creations that I have made from this book.

Excellent read !!! Kept me inspired through the entire book. I didn't want to put it down. I have always been a fan of the poetry that has been published by M. A. McKee but this is my first novel that I have read that has been written by her. A very talented, creative and vivid writer, I felt as if I were inside the story as I was reading. About the Author
With more than 25 years in health, fitness, physical education, coaching, and massage therapy, Patricia Benjamin’s varied background offers her special insight into the benefits of massage for athletes.

Benjamin graduated from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 1984. She is a licensed massage therapist in Connecticut and nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork. In 1981 she earned her PhD in recreation and leisure studies from Purdue University.

Benjamin serves as the director of education at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. She was the national director of education for the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) from 1989 to 1993 and owned her own massage business from 1986 until 1990. Benjamin was an assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the College of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation for seven years. She also taught physical education and coached at the high school level for seven years.

Benjamin is an active member in the AMTA. She lives in Newington, Connecticut, where she enjoys traveling, antiquing, hiking, cycling, and golf.

Scott Lamp has been a massage therapist since 1982 and has worked with athletes at all levels. He was the first massage therapist in the United States to be hired by a Division I college athletic association (University of Florida) to provide an ongoing massage therapy program, and he worked there for eight years.

Lamp is now the owner/director of Southeastern Sports Massage, a sports massage clinic that develops and implements a variety of projects and programs. He also has his own private practice that serves more than 30 clients per week ranging from professional athletes and Olympic gold medalists to weekend warriors and gardeners. In addition, he develops and teaches certification courses for sports massage therapy.

Lamp graduated from the Soma School of Massage in Gainesville, Florida, in 1982 and was licensed by the state of Florida the same year. In 1992 he was nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork. He earned his BS in botany from the University of Florida in 1980.

Lamp is president-elect of the AMTA. In 1991 he was awarded the National Meritorious Award and the Florida Chapter Meritorious Award from the AMTA.

Lamp lives in Gainesville, Florida, and enjoys tennis, travel, and spiritual study.

The author is great how she organizes the various stages of the protocols required for each stage of sports massage and covering the principles of sports massage and using technique appropriately. My students were able to reference easily and effective understanding.

Danish-American author Tim Ray is a passionate student of spiritual principles and mental technologies. He is the author of two titles in the Starbrow series: Starbrow and the sequel Starwarrior (Spring 2004). Ancient Prophecy Revealed

“Starwarrior” is the second book in the “Starbrow” series from Danish-American author Tim Ray. It is exactly what it says that it is … a spiritual thriller. In this series, Ray is seeking to connect the reader with his personal understanding of ancient spiritual wisdom and principles. I would like to note here that the foundation of this series is on spirituality in general, and that it does not reflect a specific religion or belief.

I appreciate Dan Brown’s work, and find that Ray’s work shows the same care and research. The overall story is about an ancient prophecy concerning the movement of earth, and earth’s inhabitants, into the fifth dimension. We left off in book one (Starbrow), with the feeling that the three compatriots were going to have some down time. Not going to happen!

There is a CIA agent on a global manhunt, with the mission of stopping whatever is supposed to happen with the earth’s power spots. How did he know about this? A message was sent from the higher dimension through … a television channel! There are golden pyramids floating above all of the major cities of the world … until the power grid that has been activated is literally blown up!

The world is in chaos, the golden pyramids can no longer be seen, and there is a very short time in which Starbrow and his compatriots must raise the consciousness of the world. The three compatriots are coming into their own power, and their own understanding of the ancient prophecy.
Two of them appear to have been killed in the demolition of Glastonbury Tor, and Starbrow is taken into custody by the CIA agent and his men. Each of these individuals is struggling to become a Spiritual Warrior, and to apply the spiritual teachings of the Masters under their current circumstances.

This is an exciting, intense book on many levels. It is a delightful mystery, with in-depth characters and story-line. It presents spiritual concepts in a manner in which the reader can understand them, and apply them to their own life. It makes use of existing theories/concepts/physical places to create a plausible scenario for the reader. It is fast paced, and both serious and funny (or perhaps seriously funny!).

My wish is that the series will continue. I had a tremendously good time reading this book, and would like to see more of the same!
